On Saturday, February 18, 2023, locomotive 52 8154-8 set out on another major excursion - this time hauling an authentic freight train in the area around Zeitz. The day began in Gera, with the train heading toward Leipzig and making several stops for photography and staged run-pasts along the way. In Leipzig, the entire train was turned around. The afternoon’s activities centered mainly on the stretch between Profen and Zeitz, where several excellent scenes were captured. The event was further enhanced by the presence of various historic vehicles and extras.
